Before squirrels were screaming at us in bad street slang about PSPs and nuts, before Microsoft infected our minds with 360s and long before Sony tried to bankrupt us by buying a PS3; there was a Golden Age of video gaming.
You had your Nintendo Power, Blast Processing, quarters to play TMNT and rumors of strange games found only in japan. From 8-bit to 16-bit, we lived in a time when video games were just about having fun. Now two Internet heroes have emerged to recapture this age of gaming once more; to bring you the very good and the horribly...horrible.
Since these games no longer are available at your local Wal-Mart, we have to go underground. Emulation is king now and we will break the law just for you! Even if these games can still be found (E-bay, your mom's basement); most don't even have the instruction booklet. So one of the main goals we have it to see how playable these games still are! Of course they won't stand up in technical prowess compared to Halo or Metal Gear Solid, but it's all about having old-school fun.
This page will cover games/systems from 1976-1998, collectively the 2nd to 4th generation of consoles.

aleurier.Games are reviewed based on a few categories: Graphics, Sound, Controls, Gameplay & Replay Value. At the end of the review there is a Final score (using cute little
graphics). 5 is the best and then it all goes downhill from there.Now and then we will break the review cycle and write up some articles on just random stuff from our past (Starman and Karn invented fire). This will involve toys, movies and cartoons.
